Venom, also known as Eddie Brock, is a Marvel Universe character that appears in Marvel's Midnight Suns. At the start of the base game's story, he is a Supervillian that fell under Lilith's control and helped her as she tries to revive her master Chthon by locking the Heroes out of the Sanctum Sanctorum. With the addition of the Redemption DLC, he becomes a playable Hero after Part I of the main story.

Redemption DLC[]
Main article: Redemption
Venom was added to the game in the DLC Redemption that was released on February 23, 2023. After the DLC is installed, Venom's introduction mission, The Devil's Due will be available in all playthroughs after a certain point in story progression . Completing The Devil's Due will allow you to recruit Venom and take him on any future mission.
He is featured in a three mission storyline in the DLC, and he is a full resident of the Abbey who can participate in Friendship activities once recruited.

Level 1[]
Hunter and Eddie are standing outside the Abbey talking. Hunter wonders if Eddie gets tired of Doctor Strange's stories, but he replies that he prefers them to Robbie's videogames, which are too loud. Eddie comments that while the symbiote has protected him from many things, it sometimes pushes away more than just bullets. Hunter asks about the symbiote's appearance, and Eddie explains that it often changes with different hosts; Venom's large mouth full of sharp teeth is not just to feed on criminals, but to look threatening. Eddie is glad that Hunter took the time to learn about them.
Level 2[]
Eddie is working out in the gym while Hunter spots him. Hunter wonders why Eddie trains his physical body to this extent when he has the symbiote. Eddie explains that he doesn't want to rely solely on the symbiote, in case it ever became compromised. Hunter asks if his work ethic came from his parents. Eddie explains that his mother died during childbirth and his father blamed him for it, and as a result he spent his childhood trying to measure up to his father's unreasonable standards. As an adult, he wants to protect those who aren't strong enough to protect themselves.
Level 3[]
Eddie and Hunter are in the Chapel. Eddie tells Hunter about a church he once visited. Back when he was a reporter, he wanted to be a true journalist who uncovered corruption that exploited the innocent. At some point he lost his way and started cutting corners, and not double-checking his sources. He ended up embarrassing himself publicly and lost his job. Eddie arrived at the church wanting to end it all, but instead was saved by a higher power - the symbiote. Spider-Man had just driven it off using the church bells, and both Eddie and the symbiote were feeling hurt and abandoned. They united, vowed to do better, and became Venom, the lethal protector of innocents. Hunter points out that Venom also tried to kill Spider-Man, but Eddie says that he had it coming.
Level 4[]
Hunter and Eddie are sitting on top of the roof of the Abbey while talking. Hunter asks about the symbiote's life before Eddie bonded with it. Eddie explains that he sometimes gets flashes of memories from when the symbiote was bonded with other hosts. He says that he doesn't like to see the memories of the symbiote's time with Spider-Man, which prompts Hunter to ask why Eddie hates him so much. Eddie reveals that the flaws in his reporting that led him to lose his job came to light as the result of Spider-Man capturing a criminal. It seems that Eddie and the symbiote bond so well because of their shared hatred of Spider-Man.
Level 5[]
Eddie asks Hunter how they balance the light and the dark, and Hunter gives him some advice. Eddie is worried because he's not like the other heroes who often do what's "right", even if that means letting their greatest foe live. He feels darkness inside, but he can focus that hate toward those who deserve it, and protect innocents. Eddie tells Hunter that he doesn't usually feel the need for friends because of his other, but that he enjoys Hunter's company; Hunter replies that the feeling is mutual.

- As of the Blood Storm update, Venom is the only hero with a LEGENDARY Skill card; the other heroes all have LEGENDARY Heroic cards.
- In a Superlink conversation with Robbie, Eddie mentioned that he can use his Venom voice without transforming.
- During a Hangout with Hunter, Eddie states the Symbiote is the only thing he's wearing; it turns into his clothes.
