Friendship[]

If Peter befriends Hunter, they start giving him confidence in himself beyond his powers and superhero persona. Peter is grateful for this, as he finally has someone he can share his double life with.

Level 1[]

Peter invites Hunter to enjoy a soda at the bar, noting they just received a big shipment. Hunter is perplexed by the numerous flavors available and their strange names, wondering aloud if they are safe. Peter takes the hint and offers to choose instead.

Level 2[]

Peter and Hunter look out at the ocean from the cliff. Peter thinks it's the Pacific; Hunter corrects him and tells him that it's the Atlantic. Peter thinks back to just a few years ago before he got his powers; he was the lamest kid, and always got bullied. But now he's part of the superhero community and even part of the Midnight Suns. Hunter appreciates Spider-Man's presence on the team, but Peter ponders how he would have turned out if that radioactive spider hadn't bit him. Hunter assures Peter that it wasn't just random chance he became Spider-Man; the universe often aligns fates to bring forth champions. Peter reflects on how he's been beyond Queens as a superhero, but he feels that right now he belongs at the Abbey.

Level 3[]

Peter and Hunter meet in the Library. Peter is fascinated by the fact spiders have mystic roots; there's a whole section of books in the Library about spiders. He wonders if this makes him a candidate for the Midnight Suns, due to having an innate mystic connection with his spider powers. Hunter assures Peter a place is open if he wishes to join, but it's not Hunter's place to push Peter down that path. In a humorous note, Hunter admits to being terribly afraid of spiders. Peter then wonders if he may have done something wrong by reading the books aloud; Hunter sighs, telling Peter to just not open his door to any strange knocking.

Level 4[]

Peter tells Hunter that they need a theme song, just like buddy cop shows. Hunter suggests their preferred genre, but Peter doesn't think it will work. Peter tries a version of his theme song idea, which he says will be stuck in their enemies' heads as they fight. Peter then reminds Hunter about his request to become a Midnight Sun. Hunter tells Peter to be his best self, and Peter responds that he's too used to being solo and has little teamwork experience beyond duos.

Level 5[]

Meeting in the chapel, Peter confirms with Hunter that they are best friends. Peter is glad Hunter values their friendship. He asks Hunter what the verdict is, confusing Hunter, so Peter reminds Hunter about his request to join the Midnight Suns. Peter states that he's prepared himself by studying the mystical world and was even a test subject for Magik's spells. Depending on the player's choice, Hunter either welcomes Peter to the team, or redirects him to join the Avengers under Stark's mentorship. Regardless of the outcome, Hunter promises to visit Peter with Robbie when they can, as they still have their own lives to lead outside of the apocalypse.

Trivia[]

  • Peter mentions being part of the Secret Defenders with Doctor Strange.
  • Peter states that he sometimes receives standard medical treatment from Doctor Strange to avoid having a public record of his injuries related to crime fighting.
