Mission: All the Devils Are Here[]
Caretaker and Hunter are reviewing Hydra activity at the Mirror Table when its surface is suddenly covered in flaming magical energy. Johnny Blaze appears and tells Robbie that they need to have a talk, and to bring the Midnight Suns as well.
Hunter, Ghost Rider, and Magik start heading to the location where Blaze asked them to meet. As Magik opens the portal, she explains that she senses something strange about the way Limbo feels, and decides to stay behind to figure out what it is.
Hunter and Ghost Rider find Blaze in front of a church. Blaze tells them that he has a plan; they should follow him and keep their mouths shut. When Hunter pushes back, Blaze tries to mollify Hunter by summoning the Parchment of Power from his chest and putting it inside Ghost Rider's.
Blaze leads them inside the church, but as they walk through the door, they are suddenly transported to Limbo instead. Mephisto is seated on a throne and greets them as they arrive. Blaze explains that he made a deal to leave Hunter in Limbo so that the prophecy could not come to fruition. Blaze tries to get Ghost Rider to leave with him, but Robbie refuses. A moment later Mephisto tells Blaze that the deal only guaranteed safe passage for him, and teleports him away, leaving Hunter and Ghost Rider to fight off a swarm of Soulless.
After the Soulless have been defeated, Mephisto approaches the heroes and summons another group, surrounding Hunter and Ghost Rider. Suddenly a voice comes from behind; it is Magik, seated upon the throne that Mephisto had been using moments earlier. Magik is furious, and she sends Hunter and Ghost Rider back while she stays behind to "catch up" with Mephisto.
Back at the church, Hunter and Ghost Rider find a Nest Mother and other Lilin waiting for them. The Nest Mother senses that Ghost Rider has the Parchment, and orders the group to attack. Just then, Magik steps out of a portal and joins them in the fight.
The heroes defeat the Nest Mother, but Robbie feels the page twisting inside him. He is worried that he could betray Hunter like Blaze did, but Hunter reassures him that he is not Blaze. As Magik opens the portal home, Robbie transforms back into Ghost Rider and vows vengeance against Blaze, incinerating the church in rage.
That Night[]
Agatha tells Hunter that she sensed the Parchment of Power the moment it entered the Abbey, and that she fears for Robbie having to hold it within him.
Hunter finds Robbie cleaning his car. He is feeling the pressure of the responsibility to protect the Parchment, and on top of that he is still upset about his role model, Johnny Blaze, selling them out to Mephisto. He just wants to be left alone.
Wanda is in the Chapel with Magik, trying to help her feel better after having to face her tormentor, Mephisto, today. When she sees Hunter approach, she realizes the two of them need to talk and makes her exit.
Hunter asks Magik why she didn't tell them that Mephisto was the one behind the Soulless. She replies that she wasn't certain it was him. She continues, confiding in Hunter that it wasn't easy to face him, but the support of her friends gave her the strength to do it. In a strange way, she feels like she owes him something, since he was the one who made her Darkchylde and gave her the gift of ruling Limbo.
The Next Day[]
Blade, Nico and Robbie are having an argument just outside Hunter's Quarters. Nico and Blade are concerned for Robbie since he has the Parchment of Power inside him now, but Robbie is taking their concern as them not believing in him, and he storms off.
Hunter finds Robbie out by the statues of the Old Midnight Suns. He feels drawn to the statue of Jeremiah Kaine, who was a Spirit of Vengeance in the 1700s. Robbie wonders if he should read the Parchment to try to understand why Blaze betrayed them, but Hunter talks him out of it.
At the Forge, Tony and Doctor Strange are arguing. Strange is unable to put his concerns about Tony's plans into words, so Tony is frustrated, feeling like he's being stonewalled with "hocus pocus mumbo jumbo". After Strange leaves to work out his frustrations on a punching bag, Tony begins work to prepare the Gamma Accelerator for his plan, which will take 24 hours.
That night, Hunter finds Agatha performing an incantation. She explains that she is casting a protection spell on the Abbey. It will prevent the worst type of harm the Parchment of Power can inflict, but cautions that it will still be able to make mischief. She isn't sure exactly what it can do, but since the words on the page were written by Chthon himself, they will affect everyone, even if only in whispers.
Lilith visits Hunter's dreams that night. She accuses Hunter's friends of abandoning them to Mephisto, but Hunter points out that Blaze was the betrayer, and the Suns were the ones that rescued them. Lilith tries to convince Hunter to turn over the page, saying that Robbie is not strong enough to be its Guardian, and threatening much worse than Mephisto if she does not get the page. The dream ends.
The Following Day[]
When Hunter gets up, everyone is in the Common Room talking about the fact that they all had the same dream the night before. No one is saying exactly what it was, but it's clear from the conversation that it involved Hunter, and has made some people worried.
Wanda finally tells Hunter about the dream. It was about Hunter; something threw them into the air, their face twisted in agony. Wanda doesn't want to remember any more. She tries to reassure Hunter by telling them that everyone here is just as afraid of her as they are of them.
Tony calls Hunter to the Forge to show off the completed Gamma Accelerator, which looks like a giant laser cannon. He tells Hunter to come to the War Room for the briefing. Before the briefing starts, Caretaker chats with Hunter to make sure they are doing alright after the dream everyone had, and Tony takes a moment to brag about his creation.
