Event: Team Meeting[]

Hunter meets Caretaker and they head to Hunter's Folly where the meeting is about to take place.

Agatha is standing by the path and Hunter stops to ask her why she is there. She explains that whenever Sara was nervous, she would be there to support her, so even in death she wants to watch over her.

Everyone, including Charlie and Ebony, is gathered at the crypt waiting for the meeting to start. Nobody seems to know why Caretaker called the meeting, although a couple of them have their guesses.

Hunter mingles with everyone before the meeting begins.

  • Nico thinks Caretaker is going to yell at someone.
  • Magik doesn't know what the meeting will be about, but she's sure it will be a waste of her time.
  • Blade thinks that whatever the meeting is about, it can't be good.
  • Robbie wonders why they are meeting out there instead of in the Common Room.
  • Doctor Strange also seems to think the location is important, and has suspicions about why the meeting was called, but won't say what they are.
  • Steve knows that Caretaker didn't call the meeting lightly, as he's called meetings like this in the past.
  • Wolverine has known Sara long enough to be sure there will be big news; after tonight, everything changes.
  • Peter just wonders how long it will take, because he and Robbie have plans.
  • Carol figures there will most likely be some sort of reprimand.
  • Tony is wary of impromptu team meetings, as people often get fired at them.

Caretaker says to Hunter, "Time to tear off the bandage," and begins the meeting. She announces that she wasn't sure everyone would come, and indicates that's why they're meeting. She and Hunter are fighting the Mother of Demons, but everyone else is more involved in petty squabbles.

Tony says the Midnight Suns aren't pulling their own weight, prompting Nico to accuse the Avengers of being the ones doing their own thing. Caretaker chides them by saying that the two ringleaders have proven her point. She moves the conversation forward by asking Hunter who is to blame for the state. After Hunter gives their view, Caretaker talks about how Lilith and her followers are united, and how absolutely critical it is that everyone here pulls together in the same direction.

Nico and Tony begin to fight with each other again, saying that if the other is in charge, the battle is lost. Steve cuts them off to say that instead Hunter should be the one to lead the team. After some discussion, Hunter accepts the responsibility. Tony and Nico both appeal to the Hunter, attempting to ensure their groups are recognized under the new leadership.

Caretaker calls an end to the meeting and asks everyone to reflect on what was said tonight. Speaking privately with Hunter afterward, she explains that she couldn't say anything in advance because she wanted their reaction to be genuine. She is glad that the teams are finally thinking of something other than themselves.

Hunter speaks with everyone after the meeting.

  • Wolverine says he will follow Hunter, for now, but warns Hunter to not lose his respect.
  • Peter finally feels like he is part of a team.
  • Tony understands what Steve sees in Hunter.
  • Robbie is happy for Hunter but hopes its not weird when they hang out.
  • Nico says that the meeting wasn't what she expected, but in a good way.
  • Magik says that Hunter was more entertaining than anything she could have done tonight.
  • Doctor Strange pretends that he was surprised by the evening's events before revealing that Sara had come to him for advice earlier.
  • Carol says that Hunter is the perfect choice to lead the team.
  • Blade compliments Hunter for stepping up and says that he will follow them into Hell.
  • Steve didn't plan to put Hunter on the spot, but knows that they will succeed.
  • Caretaker tells Hunter to get some rest.
  • Agatha will support Hunter, as much as she is able.

The Next Day[]

Before heading out on the next mission, Caretaker tells Hunter about how Logan saved her and Agatha in the 1980s. The Salem Seven had invaded their home, but Logan fought them off long enough for Agatha to cast a banishing spell. She calls Logan a trusted friend.
