Friendship[]
If Hunter befriends him, Tony starts to open up about himself.
Level 1[]
Tony makes his grandmother's famous linguini and clam sauce, albeit modified to exclude vodka. Tony admits he avoids alcohol and that he even made sure the Common Room had a dry bar. Hunter suggests that Tony should open up to the Midnight Suns and let them see the real man under the armor, which Tony takes literally. Hunter implores Tony to let down his guard more to let the others see his better side. Tony smiles, noting Hunter would have hit off with his grandmother, describing her as a demon who could scare even his father.
Level 2[]
Tony and Hunter spend some time outside. Tony mentions that some species of the plants found around the Abbey Grounds were thought to be extinct. He then admits to being scared of being in the Abbey, due to its magical nature. Ironically, he feels safest in the Forge as he can understand the threat that Babs poses.
As Tony starts to leave, he half-jokingly mentions that some of the plant life around the Abbey may be sentient, and notes that a tree seems to be getting closer to them.
Level 3[]
In the Library, an embarrassed Tony asks Hunter to help him understand the basics of magic. Hunter is flattered by the trust, but wonders why Tony didn't just ask Doctor Strange. Tony explains that he didn't want to inflate Strange's ego; the doctor would be quite amused to hear Tony admit that science can't do or explain everything.
Hunter wants to start Tony off with a grimoire, but Tony responds that he would would be fine being thrown into the metaphorical deep end. Hunter explains that an unprepared person could do irreparable damage if they read the wrong book. Hunter's first assignment is to read Dangerous Magic Secrets. Once Tony is done with the book, they can proceed.
Level 4[]
At their next meeting, Tony explains that he read the entire grimoire cover to cover multiple times, after which he slept incredibly well. Hunter is confused by the news, wondering if Tony had trouble sleeping before. Tony explains that he was often kept awake by strange sounds and shadows before reading about magic. However, now that he's starting to gain an understanding of the mystical, there are fewer unknown factors for him to fear. Hunter is glad Tony is getting comfortable with magic, and indicates the next lesson should involve an artifact. Tony is grateful for Hunter's help, and wonders if he can surprise Strange one day.
Level 5[]
Tony meets with Hunter in the Chapel, thanking them for expanding his horizons with the magic lessons, and jokes that the setting isn't meant to put religious pressure on them. He reveals that he plans to create a new R&D department within Stark Industries, dedicated to studying the occult for uses to benefit humanity. Tony will need someone to run the new department, and hopes Hunter will accept the job.
