Heroes can gain Injuries in Combat when they take damage at low health. Injuries do not have immediate effects, but will have negative consequences if the hero is brought back into combat while still injured, such as being affected by debuffs, and Injury Cards being added to their deck.
Recovery from Injuries[]
Characters will generally take several days to recover from injuries, though this can be reduced to a day via the Combat Therapy upgrade.
Types of Injuries[]
Mild Injury[]
A Mild Injury may occur when an uninjured character takes damage during combat at low health. Mild Injuries typically take several days to recover from if Combat Therapy is not used. If a character with a Mild Injury is taken into Combat, they will suffer a debuff and have Mild Injury cards inserted into their deck.
Moderate Injury[]
A Moderate Injury may occur when character with a Mild Injury is brought back into combat and becomes injured again. Moderate Injuries typically take several days to recover from if Combat Therapy is not used. If a character with a Moderate Injury is taken into Combat, they will suffer a debuff and have Moderate Injury cards inserted into their deck.
Severe Injury[]
A Severe Injury may occur when a character with a Moderate Injury is brought back into combat and becomes injured again. Severe Injuries typically take longer to recover from than Mild Injuries. If a character with a Severe Injury is taken into Combat, they will suffer a debuff and have Severe Injury cards inserted in their deck.
Magical Aftershock[]
The Gray Seneschal story event can result in Magical Aftershock, an injury that may be either Mild or Severe. If Hunter receives a Magical Aftershock injury, they cannot use Combat Therapy to reduce the injury time.
