Hero Ops

Hero Ops are special missions that can be managed at the War Room. Hero Ops aren't played directly; instead Heroes are sent to complete them on the player's behalf.

Acquisition[]

Hero Ops are obtained by decrypting Intel Caches, with higher Rarity Caches producing higher-tier Ops. The Hero Ops that are received are chosen from the pool of available Ops. Some Hero Ops may have requirements, such as story progression or friendship level, that must be met before they are available in that pool.

Storylines[]

Hero Ops give a glimpse into other events occurring around the world, and how other Marvel heroes are dealing with the threats posed by Lilith, Hydra, and other forces. Some of these storylines continue across several Ops.

Hero Op Parameters[]

Duration[]

Each Hero Op takes one day to complete, and Heroes sent on Ops are unavailable until they next day.

Expiration[]

Some Hero Ops are only available for a short time before they expire. When Ops have an expiration, it is generally 3, 4 or 5 days from the time the Op is obtained.

Cost[]

It costs Intel to start a Hero Op, with higher Rarity and higher level Ops costing more.

Level[]

Each Hero Op has a required level, and Heroes that are below that level cannot be assigned. The required levels for Ops gradually rise as the player progresses through the game.

Location[]

Each Hero Op specifies the location where it takes place, although this seems to be included for story flavor rather than having any bearing on the results.

Rewards[]

Hero Ops grant new Abilities for the assigned hero. The rewards are randomized, scale with the Rarity of the Op, and can include base, upgraded, and Modded abilities.

Bonus Rewards[]

After W.A.R.D.E.N. is built, a Hero Op can have a bonus reward if the assigned Hero belongs to the faction required by the reward. A Hero's affiliations can be viewed in their respective Profile. These affiliations include:

Hero Ops[]

Hero Ops grant powerful hero-specific rewards. Heroes assigned to an Op will be unavailable for combat missions until the following day when the Op completes.

Trivia[]

The Hero Ops summaries reveal that Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Hellcat, Ms. Marvel, Iron Heart, Synapse and Professor Xavier all are helping in their own way. The Defenders are busy trying to keep Manhattan safe with the Avengers spread across the world; with five of their members at the Abbey.
Man-Thing is confirmed to have become a Fallen; it is unknown how his corruption was reversed.
