Hangouts are short activities the player and another Hero can participate in. The selected Hero gains Friendship XP and other potential rewards at the end of the Hangout.
The Heroes that are taken on a Mission are the ones that are most likely to be available for a Hangout that night.[1]
Rewards[]
Each Hangout will present at least one opportunity to choose dialogue options. The player is typically given three options, with each option awarding varying amounts of Friendship XP: +2, +1, or nothing. Sometimes, there won't be any option that awards Friendship XP. The player may also be presented with options that award +1 Light Balance or +1 Dark Balance.
Each Hangout may also present the opportunity to offer one Gift in exchange for Friendship XP.
Havens vs. Hangouts[]
Functionally, Havens are similar to Hangouts, with two differences:
- Havens are limited; each Haven can only be used once, and each Hero can join a Haven only one time. Hangouts have no such limitations.
- Havens may be initiated freely by the player, whereas the player must wait for Heroes to be available for Hangouts.
Joining In[]
From time to time, the player may find a hero in the midst of an activity, such as playing a video game on the couch in the Common Room. If the player talks to the hero, they will be given an opportunity to "Join In", which will start a Hangout.
