Abbey[]
Each day, Hunter wakes up in the Abbey, the base of operations for the Midnight Suns. The player can engage in a variety of activities while in the Abbey, however, some activities may be limited to only being done once per day.
- Use the Mirror Table to go on Missions
- Unlock and upgrade abilities at the Forge
- Explore the grounds to find items such as Faded Journal Pages, unlock Arcane Chests and discover new areas
- Enter the Blood Gate to take on Trials
- Engage in conversations or activities with other characters, which may increase or decrease Friendship with them
- Equip an Abbey Outfit, allowing Hunter to wear something different than the Suit worn on Missions
- Access Superlink, a game-world social media app
- View the Map of the Abbey grounds
- Configure Decks for Hunter and other heroes
Difficulty[]
The player may choose from a range of preset Difficulty levels, affecting how challenging Missions are and the rewards obtained from them.
Combat[]
Combat is turn-based, with the player selecting which actions to perform by choosing from a hand of up to five Cards, dealt randomly from the pool of Cards in the squad's decks. Enemies act on their own turns to defeat the Heroes, and reinforcements are frequently deployed. Players are challenged to complete objectives as few turns as possible to receive better ratings and rewards.
New Game+[]
After completing the campaign, a New Game+ mode will become available.
