Marvel's Midnight Suns Wiki

The Forge is a location inside the Abbey, and the new work space of Doctor Strange and Tony Stark. Initially, the Forge can allow Gamma Coils to be analyzed and Artifacts to be studied. Completing Research projects expand what the Forge can accomplish, such as crafting Combat Items at the Item Bench, modifying secondary Stats at the Laboratory, or attempting Hero Challenges.

Welcome to Tony's Scary Demon Cave! I'm Tony, and how may I assist you today?Tony Stark

Analyzing Gamma Coils[]

The player may interact with Tony Stark to have their collected Gamma Coils analyzed. Upon completing analysis, the player is shown a list of three abilities and may choose one to obtain. The abilities acquired here may be new ones, or they may be duplicates of ones the player already has. Duplicate Abilities may be brought to Blade in the Yard to upgrade them.

Studying Artifacts[]

The player may interact with Doctor Strange to have their Artifacts studied. Artifacts that have been studied may unlock Research projects at the forge or generate resources for use in Ability upgrades and Crafting.

Research[]

Research projects allow the player to unlock new items and features, such as new moves in Combat, expanding the capability of facilities in the Abbey, or unlocking Combat Items.

Tutorials[]

Analyzing Gamma Coils[]

Tony Stark can use the Coil material recovered in combat to create hero abilities.

Only one of the abilities on offer can be selected, so choose wisely.

Crafting Abilities[]

Ability crafting is now available!

Collect Blueprints and bring them to the Forge to craft additional copies of hero ability cards, which can then be equipped by heroes or used for upgrades!

Ability Crafting[]

Doctor Strange and Tony Stark can work together to craft additional copies of any previously obtained hero abilities.

Crafting a new ability requires a Blueprint of the corresponding Rarity.

Blueprint Exchange[]

Use the Blueprint Exchange to:

  • "Salvage" a higher rarity Blueprint into 2 Blueprints of lesser rarity.
  • "Craft" a higher rarity Blueprint from 2 Blueprints of lesser rarity.

Trivia[]

  • The proper name for the Forge is "The Hellforge".
  • The demon who lives in the Forge is named "Babs".
    • If Babs burns up a few hundred Kelvin in heat, it could break the seal keeping him from incinerating the Abbey.
    • Strange borrowed one of the Bands of Cytorak binding Babs to connect Robbie to the Mirror Table.
    • Stark likes how efficient and eco-friendly Babs' demon fire is for crafting.
    • Strange correcting Stark on Babs' name isn't just banter; in many forms of myths and religions, knowing an entity's name can give you power or protection from them. For demonic entities, speaking their name tends to hurt them or weaken their powers.

Quotes[]

"What spooky castle would be complete without its own Babylonian demon powered furnace?"
~ Tony commenting on the Forge.

"Sumerian Fire Demon. His name is Babs."
~ Doctor Strange correcting Tony about the demon of the forge.
