History[]
As the prophecy of the Midnight Sun began to unfold, Bruce Banner was researching the increase in gamma radiation. Lilith began reaching out to him through the gamma energy in his body, turning Banner into a sleeper agent. This caused Banner to drop off the grid briefly around the time of the events of The Bill Comes Due. When he resumed contact the night following The Best There Is, he took a scan of Hunter; stating that Hunter was unique for sharing Lilith's DNA and being un-exposed to gamma energy due to being shielded in their stone crypt. He left an eerie message on Superlink the following day, prompting Spider-Man to ask if he was okay.
During the events of Some Assembly Required, Crossbones attacked Avengers Tower as part of a plan to steal the Gamma Accelerator. Banner tricked Stark into deactivating the security protocols, and set off explosives during the heist. His corruption now visible, Banner dared Stark to kill him. Winning their game of chicken, Banner set off more explosives and escaped with the Accelerator to a secret Hydra base.
Hunter, Nico and Magik arrived at the base during the events of Sneaking Out and encountered Banner there, before fighting with Fallen Scarlet Witch and eventually escaping back to the Abbey.
During the events of A Not-So-Beautiful Mind, Banner broke into an old Stark facility to get Howard Stark's old gamma research. He attempted to coax Iron Man to join him, but eventually gave up on the idea before escaping once again.
During Shattering Expectations, Banner detonated a Rift Charge at the center of the Sanctum Sanctorum, escaping with her through a portal.
In Los Diablos, Banner jumped from a helicopter directly into the blast from Iron Man's Gamma Cannon. The gamma radiation transformed Banner into Fallen Hulk, with Banner's personality and intelligence intact thanks to Lilith's magic. This also gave Fallen Hulk the opportunity to obtain the Parchment of Power.
During The Not-So-Good Book Fallen Hulk helped Lilith restore the Darkhold despite the Midnight Suns' best efforts to stop them.
During the events of The Witch on Wundagore Mountain, Wanda and Hunter worked together to subdue Fallen Hulk and purge him of Lilith's corruption.
