Story Summary[]

Several heroes are gathered at the Mirror Table to discuss how to recover Morbius' prototype before it can be used by Hydra to create Vampyres that are impervious to sunlight. Peter locates a Hydra facility that's broadcasting a distress signal about a Vampyre attack, and a trio of heroes heads to the location on the assumption that the "Sunlight Serum" is there.

At the site, the team finds the facility damaged, and the bodies of Hydra troops scattered around the area. Suddenly Sin appears on the monitors and orders an attack on the heroes. After defeating Sin's Vampyres, they proceed through the facility, finding Sin herself with the prototype and another battle ensues.

The heroes defeat Sin and recover the serum from her. However, Morbius quickly realizes that some of it is missing. He grabs Sin by the throat, holding her at the edge of the platform, and demands to know what happened to the rest. Sin gloats that they have already produced enough Sunlight Serum to supply an army of Vampyres, and that it has already been delivered to Dracula. She turns to mist and escapes.

That night, back at the Abbey, Hunter finds Morbius near Hunter's Folly. Morbius tells them that he wants to be left alone, but eventually confides that he is angry that Sin stole his work and used it to further their cause. He feels responsible for the creation of Vampyres that are immune to sunlight. Hunter tells him that he couldn't have known this would happen, and assures him that they will fix it, together.
