Dahlia is a non-playable character introduced in the DLC Blood Storm. She is a mutant who goes missing from St. Joan's Orphanage, which prompts Storm to investigate her disappearance.
Story[]
About a year prior to the events in the game, Professor Xavier detected a mutant at St. Joan's Orphanage. Storm was sent to make contact, and met Dahlia, a mutant with healing powers. Storm invited Dahlia to return to Xavier's school with her, but Dahlia declined. Storm followed up on several occasions, but Dahlia still preferred to stay at the orphanage.
At the start of Hard Knock Life, Storm contacts Magik and Wolverine for help. She tells them about Dahlia, adding her recent discovery that Dahlia had gone missing from the orphanage. This leads to Storm being introduced to the Midnight Suns, who offer to help her find Dahlia.
During Your Tired, Your Poor, Your Huddled Masses..., the team enters a Morlock settlement to find a blue-haired girl healing the injured with her powers. This is Dahlia, the girl they had been looking for. She is not pleased to see Storm again, as she feels the X-Men only care about themselves and ignore the plight of other mutants like the Morlocks. However, after Storm and the Suns save the Morlocks from another Vampyre attack, she realizes that Storm only wants to help.
Dahlia is kidnapped by Dracula during Where the Blood Flows Like Wine. Dracula experiments on her, trying to use her mutant healing powers to create a race of Vampyres without weaknesses. Storm and the Suns rescue her and bring her back to the Abbey. The experiment has caused her appearance to change; her blue hair now has hot pink streaks in it, and her skin tone has become lavender. She confides in Hunter that she feels like the experiment also introduced a darkness inside of her, and they give her advice on controlling it.
Afterward, Dahlia decides to join Xavier's school after all. She convinces Storm to let her bring the Morlocks to the school, where they can be protected. In addition, with the X-Men and Morlocks living side by side, they can learn to understand each other better.
