The Abbey is Hunter's ancestral home, and the present-day makeshift base of the Midnight Suns located within a pocket dimension on the cursed grounds of Old Salem in Salem, Massachusetts.

Story

Hearing the cries of anguish of the Salem witches, Lilith and Sara arrived to help them; magically transporting the Abbey from Transia along with them. They served as protection against Hiram Shaw and his dark magic. In time, Agatha Harkness and Gregor Maar called this place home as well.

Havens

Havens are special areas around the Abbey grounds which can be found through exploration. Once discovered, the player can invite a Hero to join them there.

Tutorials

Abbey Grounds

Exploring the Abbey Grounds from this point on is optional. It can be done at any time without regard to the main story.

When you are ready, return to your quarters and go to sleep each Night to start the next Day.

Abbey Map

Use the Abbey Map to find your way around the grounds, and keep track of heroes. New Regions and Arcane Chests will also appear on the Map as you discover them. Use Fast Travel to move quickly from place to place.

The Abbey

The Abbey is now yours to explore. Check your Objectives and the Map to see what is available, and look around to see if any heroes could use a hand.

Missions are waiting on the Mirror Table when you are ready.

Frames in the Abbey

Various frames in the Abbey can be interacted with.

Paintings can be removed from frames for a small Gloss cost.

Paintings from your inventory can be placed in empty frames for free.

Abbey Upgrades

Recent research has unlocked new upgrade opportunities for the Abbey!

Constructing upgrades is essential for success, expanding the Midnight Suns' capabilities in the Abbey and on the battlefield.

"LUKE W WAS HERE"

• The Abbey lacks a visible kitchen and bathroom that the player can access.
• A tree located in the Abbey grounds has the carving: "LUKE W WAS HERE". The developers wanted to commemorate Luke Wiltshire, a fan from the UK, who died November 12th, 2021. The developers made it possible for him to play an early build of the game, long before release.
